Hi Derek

I’m Ted Wild 王亚楠 (PinYin: Wang Ya Nan)
Native Chinese, born in 1992 (age 34), now live near Beijing (30 min drive).
Currently single, no kids, one cat.
Love thinking, reading, writing, design, music, language, comedy, tech, anything minimal and beautiful.
Also love food, women, sex, nature, walking, talking to people, going into their real inner world.
All my life I have been searching for answers about life. Why are we here? Why all these random events? Why all this pain? How to face them? How to be happy? How to love? …
In searching for answers, I dug into psychology, philosophy, self help, self improvement, spirituality.
I found almost all the answers I wanted, but the end of the path is kinda a dead end.
Right now I try to ditch everything I learned, to think less and live more, feel more. Also I am reexamining everything I believe, and your book ‘Useful Not True’ inspired me a lot.
Along the way I learned a lot from observing, thinking, relationships, and people.
You are one of the people who influenced me the most.
I love your deep thinking, truth seeing, writing style, minimal feeling in everything, your curiosity, your unreserved sharing, wholehearted caring, your realness.
You have lived past money and fame, enjoying creating, sharing, connecting, helping.
You feel like a warm friend.
Thanks for being in this world.
ALWAYS glad to receive your message ~ But I try to use the phone less, so I might not reply fast, sorry for this in advance…Now I check email as frequently as WeChat, so we can talk via email if that’s what you prefer.
Anything you wanna know or anything I may help with, just ask, I will do my best.
Next time you come to China, tell me, you have my big welcome.
I may ask you some questions (in batch), so it saves you time and gives you time to think. I’ll just ask away, you can reply whenever you feel like it, could be in one month, one year, ten years, all OK.
Thanks for your time in reading this, and all the time in the future.
